For 15 years, I worked in one of the most stressful industries in the world - TV news. This meant constant deadlines, stress, long nights, working holidays & putting my own needs far behind those. of my newsroom.

With everything going on in our world today - the horrible destruction left behind by Hurricane's Helene & Milton, the political and economic climate in the US, the war being waged against the innocent Palestinians - finding peace and inner calm is something so many of us could benefit from. And yet, it's soooo far away for so many.

But, if you're navigating stress, anxiety, or feeling disconnected from yourself, you’re not alone.

One of the most powerful combinations I’ve found for reclaiming your inner peace is pairing microdosing with meditation.

In this blog post, I’m excited to introduce my new Guided Microdosing Meditation for Calm & Inner Peace, available now on YouTube. Whether you’re looking to deepen your microdosing practice or just want to experience a profound sense of relaxation, this meditation is designed to help you tap into the peace within.

So, what is microdosing?

Microdosing involves taking a small, sub-perceptual dose of psychedelics, such as psilocybin mushrooms, to promote emotional, psychological, and spiritual healing.

Unlike a full psychedelic journey, microdosing allows you to experience subtle shifts in consciousness that can enhance mood, reduce stress, and increase clarity — all without hallucinations or intense effects.

For more information on microdosing, check out my FREE GUIDE to Activate your Inner Magic. It's where I answer some of the BIGGEST questions about this practice. It also includes journal prompts, trackers & a guided meditation you can download straight to your phone.

I began microdosing in early 2022 to heal my sexual trauma and what I ended up healing was FAR greater - my mental health, my alcohol addiction, poor body image, low self-worth and YES my sexual trauma too. At this point in my life, I'd struggled with anxiety, overwhelm & depression for more than a decade. Microdosing - along with somatic practices and meditation - not only gave me a greater sense of balance, it helped me create a life I actually love! A life where I'm fully connected to my body, am experiencing very few symptoms of anxiety and overwhelm and am able to help others feel better too.

Why Pair Microdosing with Meditation?

Meditation is a powerful practice in its own right, proven to help reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and improve emotional regulation. But when we combine it with microdosing, you open the door to a more profound experience of mindfulness and healing. Together, these practices offer a pathway to:

  • Deepened Mindfulness: Microdosing quiets the mental chatter, making it easier to drop into a meditative state.

  • Increased Emotional Resilience: Meditation with microdosing can help you process emotions more gently and consciously.

  • Greater Calm & Relaxation: The calming effects of microdosing enhance the soothing power of meditation, helping to calm anxiety and nervousness at a deeper level.

  • Spiritual Connection: For those seeking to connect with their inner selves, this combination supports spiritual growth and self-awareness.

The Science Behind the Calm:

When microdosing psilocybin, certain neural pathways in the brain associated with fear, stress, and anxiety are dampened. This makes it easier to access a meditative state where the mind isn’t racing. Meditation, on the other hand, triggers the parasympathetic nervous system, often referred to as the “rest and digest” mode, which is responsible for helping you relax and recover from stress.

When used together, the calming effects of microdosing and meditation work synergistically to provide a deeper sense of peace and well-being.

About the Guided Meditation:

My new Guided Microdosing Meditation for Calm & Inner Peace is designed for those who want to enhance their microdosing practice or simply desire a calming experience to navigate the stress of daily life. The 20-minute meditation is structured to guide you into a state of deep relaxation, offering:

  • Breathwork Techniques: A gentle breathing sequence that calms the mind and body, helping you center and become more present.

  • Body Awareness: A guided body scan to help you reconnect with your body and release tension held in different areas.

  • Affirmations & Visualizations: Positive affirmations and serene visualizations to ground you in the moment and cultivate feelings of peace and safety.

Whether you’re just starting out with microdosing or are looking for a new way to support your mental and emotional health, this meditation is an accessible and powerful tool.

How to Prepare for the Meditation: If you're incorporating microdosing into your practice, here are a few tips for preparation:

  1. Timing Your Dose: Take your microdose 30-60 minutes before the meditation. This gives your body enough time to absorb the medicine, allowing you to feel the subtle effects during the practice.

  2. Create a Sacred Space: Choose a quiet, comfortable environment where you won’t be disturbed. You might want to add soft lighting, incense, or a cozy blanket to enhance your sense of calm.

  3. Set an Intention: Spend a few moments reflecting on your intention for the meditation. This can be as simple as, "I want to release stress and find peace," or "I am open to emotional healing."

Why This Meditation is Perfect for You:

If you’ve been searching for a simple yet effective way to calm your mind, this guided microdosing meditation is the perfect place to start. It’s especially helpful if:

  • You’ve been struggling with anxiety, stress, or overwhelm.

The combination of gentle breathwork, soothing affirmations, and calming guidance helps bring you back into balance, whether you’re microdosing or not.
